Wednesday, November 3rd, 12 noon Dia de los Muertos Come celebrate the Day of the Dead with Aztec dancers Teoilhuikatl and master story teller Geraldina Lawson. This is a bi-lingual show. Wednesday, December 15th, 12 noon Hanukkah and other Jewish Stories Celebrate the Jewish festival of lights with nationally acclaimed author and story teller Cherie Karo Schwartz. Cantor Birdie Becker will provide music, song and dance to round out this delightful show. Wednesday, January 26th Martin Luther King Day Celebration Hear Master Lois Burell storyteller will retell traditional Negro folktales tales of love, hope and sacrifice. Grand Design, Auroras premier black arts performing troupe will mesmerize the audience with music, dance and song. Bob Hall with African drum troupe Kusogea Nobi will add the rhythms of West Africa to this amazing show. Wednesday, Febraury 16th, 12 noon from Asia With Love Mr. Origami will entertain the audience with Japanese folktales and origami demonstrations. Taiko drummers Mirai Daiko will perform the ancient music of Japan. Wednesday, March 16th, 12 noon St. Patricks Day Party Put on your green and bring out the shamrocks, its St. Patricks Day! Irish Step Dancers will liven up the stage as master Irish storyteller John Stansfield retells the mysterious and enchanting tales of the Emerald Isles. Dia de Los Ninos This national holiday is little known in the Western United States. Aurora is one of the premier locations in Colorado to recognize and support this important holiday. In honor of education, health and literacy for all children of the world, join us in celebrating the Day of the Child. Wednesday, April 27th, 12 noon Tonali Latin Jazz Rising will provide dramatic background music to Angel Vigil, nationally acclaimed Hispanic storyteller, stories of children heroes from through out the world. A great event for children of all ages Thursday, April 28th, 6:30 - 8:30pm Dia de los Ninos An evening of childrens troupes from around the city. Including Valverde Elementary Folklorico, Fiesta Colorado Ninos, and others. Join us for an evening of music, song and dance from the little shining stars of tomorrow. Reading by local children author C. Ruby. Wednesday, May 4th, 12 noon Cinco de Mayo Enjoy as Fiesta Colorado takes the audience on a journey through 500 years of Mexica history. Beginning with the ancient dances of the Aztec dance troupe Teoilhuekalt , journey next into the heart and soul of Spain with flamenco guitarist Steve Mullins and Jeanette Trujillo flamenco dancer.
