Irish Step Dance Groups **** Heritage Irish Stepdancers
This group is usually a mixture of younger and older dancers displaying soft and hard shoe steps. The groups objective is to promote Irish culture through the medium of Irish dancing.

The Inter-Tribal Dancers, in full regalia, will perform the dances from the Navajo, the Pawnee, and the Mohowk. Drumming and singing accompany the dancers.

Ms. Romero focuses on the dance, music, instruments, and history of Spain, Mexico, and the Southwest United States to illustrate how cultures borrow from each other and contribute to each other through the arts. In a colorful visual setting this program illustrates how cultures influence each other over the centuries.
The Danza Matachina Tlaxcalteca Guadalupana are traditional dancers from Mexico. They perform the ancient dances of their ancestors. These indios have survived through the Conquistadors and the many revolutions in Mexico. Take a look back in history to the pre-Columbian dances and costuming of an ancient people. Their traditional native clothing and the dances are clarified and explained.
Moo Lan Chuan is a slow motion form of Chinese martial arts with its versions of Bare Hand, Fan, and Sword. The dances have graceful and rhythmic movements and are synchronized with music. Each dance is introduced by the Shanghai born dancer.
Students experience the historic community dances that have been the backbone of social life throughout the settlement of the United States. Caller Myers teaches and leads any size group in a variety of dances, including reels, circle and square dances, and explains the historical context as he calls. Live old-time string band music (fiddle, banjo, guitar, bass) is provided.
With a mix of colorful native dress, ethnic dances from many places (Romania, Serbia, Turkey, Bulgaria, Israel, Greece, and others) are performed. Postoleys exuberant dances and stunning clothing brings cultural heritage to life. The performances emphasize Ukraine, Poland, and other eastern European cultures. The dance, music, costumes, and folklore are woven together into a colorful mosaic that gives insight and appreciation to the heritage. The singing of traditional Ukraine folk songs is part of this performance. Audience size is up to 250 per assembly.

Ziva Dunya (bright world) is a troupe of musicians, storytellers, and dancers. They paint a vivid picture of the rhythms, traditions, and wisdom tales of the rich Middle Eastern culture through stories, poetry, music, and dance. It is both entertaining and educational. The famous snake dance is but one of the dances performed.
The very essence of the Ukrainian culture is presented by dedicated group of women dancers. The presentation includes Ukrainian foods, crafts, and the unique, colorful dancers dresses.
The Dances of the Americas focus is on Mexico and folklorico dancing from nine (9) different states of Mexico.
