Anoush Armenian Dance ** The Colorado Folk Arts Council
The Anoush Armenian Dancers will share their rich Armenian heritage through traditional Armenian village dances. With very colorful and beautiful native dress, they will give a brief history of Armenia and describe each of dances. With audience participation they can teach an original Armenian line dance. Eight dances will be performed for a 35-40 minutes assembly.

Aztec Dance
The Aztec Dance is based around warriors’ dances. History tells us that the Aztecs recognized and paid tribute to the natural forces of the universe. Through traditional dances, wearing special colorful native dress, you will be presented dances that teach the spiritual and traditional aspects of the ancient Mexican culture.

Ballet Folklorico de Colorado ** Jeanette Trujillo
Founded and directed by Jeanette Trujillo, “La Muneca”, Ballet Folklorico de Colorado will astound the audience. With intricate footwork and authentic native folk costumes, a unique and vitally alive company of professional performers will perform Mexico’s regional dances.

Ballet Folklorico Tesoro de Colorado** Pablo Martinez
Ballet Folklorico Tesoro de Colorado is a traditional Mexican folklorico performing the many dances of Mexico. They are based in Aurora with children and adult members. They also perform in the northern regions of Mexico.

Cairo-Cadiz-Kona: Dances of Three Lands ** Shireen
This multicultural dance show takes you to three different places: a stop in Cairo for Middle Eastern dances, then on to Cadiz for the Spanish flamenco with the final destination, Kona, and the dances of the Hawaiian Islands. Each program features two dance professionals with apparel changes. The background and historical cultural perspective of each dance is presented.

Original American old style clogging with square and round dances of historic America seldom seen today.

Capoeira - Dance Martial Arts from Brazil ** Gaviao
This dance with music was originally done as martial arts by the slaves in Brazil. It is danced to the instruments of Brazil, the bidirimbau and bandaeiro. The performance is done in uniform, all white with colorful cords showing rank.. A question and answer period follows the performance.

Classical Dances of India ** Aeolian Art & Music Center
In this performance, Kakali Chakraborty, the dance instructor, will be depicting the various styles of Indian classical dance steps. She will be then accompanied by her students. Authentic native dress is part of this colorful performance.

Colorado Mestizo Dancers ** Jake Garcia
The Colorado Mestizo Dancers are a Mexican Folk Dance troupe providing the community with a variety of children and adult performances of Mexican Folk Dances.

Cuentos de La Frontera ** Christopher Maier
From San Antonio, Texas, Christopher will amaze the audience with tales from the borderland. A blend of dance, music, and song bring to life the borders that separate us and unites us. This master flamenco artist weaves a spell binding show that crosses the borders between rich, poor, the living, the dead, the historical, and the legendary.

Cultural Bolivia ** Reyna Chambers
Experience the traditional culture of this country through Bolivian dance. Rich traditional dress and mesmerizing music. There are many similarities between the Native American Indian traditions and the Bolivian Indian customs

Czech-Slovak Folk Dancers of Colorado Springs ** The CFAC
This group performs traditional dances with the original music that have been handed down from generation to generation in brightly colored native dress.

The dances and music of Southeast Asia come alive with this very traditional Cambodian group. The color and movement will make your eyes dazzle, the sounds will awaken your ears. This group only does Saturday performances.

Heritage African Drum & Dance ** Carmen R. L. Toure
Experience an interactive performance of traditional West African dances with live drumming and song. Dressed in authentic clothing of various regions of Africa, dancers and drummers of all age levels will involve the audience in hand and arm movements and ask for additional participants to join in the dancing. The traditions behind the clothing, dances, drumming, and songs are explained. A question and answer time can follow the performance.
